Every thing you click on to look at brings up another game ad. Big headache

The app is unusable. Every time I select a button, a very long ad pops up. It is so bad that I cannot even get through one sketch to see if it’s worth paying for. If it is this bad now (at the point where they’re trying to convert me as a paying customer), I cannot imagine the charges users will incur in-app. Literally not worth the time and patience it takes to assess if it’s worth a few bucks.

Love to have a lot of options, but very time you hit any button it show a lot forever adds 😭🤯

The adds are so obnoxious I would not pay for the upgrade under any circumstances..

I’m a watercolor artist, and I hate sketching. This is by far the best app I’ve ever used for turning a photo into a sketch (are you listening, Photo Shop?). It’s clean and easy to use, with no goofy effects. Just turns your photo into a great sketch instantly. If you pay for the app, the vast array of additional different effects is actually a little mind boggling. Great app. I am changing my review to one star. This USED to be a great app, but they have destroyed it with the ads. You get hit with a several minute ad at each step of your editing. It’s literally impossible to use now. Hey, the developers deserve payment, but this isn’t the way to go about it. I would gladly have paid a couple of bucks for this formerly excellent app, but not with those ads!

Too many adds and they are long. This app never used to be this way.

For years this was one of my favorite apps, when it had a reasonable amount of ads. Now there’s an ad literally every time you select something. It’s made it unusable.

I love this app and I’ve used it for years. But lately I’ve had so many problems with it. I’ve reinstalled it four times in the last five days!

It was great but now I’m unable to access pictures

When it is working it is good. But adding pictures is hit and miss. Some times I can’t add pictures to play with. The camera works but I can’t always pull pictures from my camera roll.

I was pretty excited to find a replacement for the great Paper Camera app, and PencilSketch looked perfect. Lots of filters to play with. Unfortunately, after buying the app and using it a few times, it no longer is able to open photos. I tried contacting the developer web site, but no good. Hopefully I can reach the developer somehow.

I just purchased the program and cannot pull up a picture to work on. When I try to do the first step the program shuts down. Please fix this program.

I bought this app a few years ago. During migrating to a new phone the app is no longer available for downloading however a newer version is apparently available and then you will pay again!

Pencil sketch helps me with my compositions in the later stages of my sketches on the cavas. The difference in styles gives me direction with motif and color. I would recommend it to budding artists and and journeyman alike. Thumbs up as the old cliche says.

I paid for the extra filters but now when I try to use this app the photo imports below the easel so I can’t see anything but the top 1/4” of it. I’ve tried uninstalling the app and that works but then I get bombarded with ads, and when I try to re-purchase the extra filters I want to use hoping a brand new install will fix things) it won’t let me, it says I already own them & as soon as I reinstall them it’s broken again. The email to contact the developer bounces back and the website listed here has no content so I can’t get any help and I cant use this at all. When it works I love it, so this lack of support is really a shame.

Great way to customize family pictures

You don’t need practice for hours to use this app.

It doesn’t even let u pick a photo to turn into a sketch even after I paid $1.99 to “UPGRADE”

Apps make their living off of ads or upgrades but, this app has way too many ads. There’s not enough time to see if you even like or want the app. Is not user friendly. Affects are “nifty” but what’s the point? Takes more time and energy then necessary. Once affected image is saved, doesn’t seem you can share. Only share before saving. I would not upgrade just because there is not enough time between adds to really experiment with it first. I’m suspicious of “good” reviews. They’re old. Keep looking around at other apps. Apparently, there are several.

Many, and frequent, ads! Turns out a lot of people have paid for it, only to have it then become useless. The top 5 percent of the image is visible at the bottom of the screen, and is not accessible! FOR THE PAID VERSION! Hasn't been updated in five years. Maybe the guy died and his family doesn't know it needs to be removed. Apple should remove apps that remain unusable for 5 years. And who is getting the money when people pay?

Very good and useful app to work as pencil sketch. I loved it.
